Port City Power are excited to announce Tyler Allen as the 10th roster signing for 2018. The 6’5 guard has agreed to terms that will see him return for his 3rd season with the club.
In Tyler’s home debut in 2016, he scored 29 points against Toowoomba in a prolific offensive effort. Tyler has since been a dependable and consistent contributor, who has been willing to fill whatever role is necessary. Tyler is established in the community as a positive role model …and is someone that has always tried to reinvest in the clubs junior players. We are happy to have him back for season 2018.
On re-signing, Allen said “I’m excited about re-signing with the team for my third season and am excited about being able to play with some new faces, as well as some returning ones. I think the new system is going to work really well with the guys we have and I’m looking forward to being a part of it”
Coach Walmsley said “I am really pleased that we were able to reach an agreement with Tyler for season 2018. I had a chance to work with Ty earlier in the off-season and I was really impressed. He has good positional size and length, has tremendous competitive qualities and is dangerous in the open court. Tyler also has some really sound defensive tools and I envision him having some key assignments on that end of the floor. Our style of play should allow Tyler to flourish and I would expect him to have a career year in the QBL this season. Tyler has established authentic and meaningful relationships in his time at the club and I’m looking forward to working with him in 2018”
