Troy Robinson

Troy Robinson commits for the 2018 season.

Robinson is the Port City Power record holder for QBL games played, having represented Gladstone in 144 outings thus far. Robinson has been an integral part of the program over the past 12 season, commencing in 2005. Robinson captained the team in 2017 and will look to bring that same leadership and experience to the new-look Port City Power men’s team in 2018.

On his commitment, Robinson said “I’m glad to be resigning with Brady and the Port City Power for my 13th season with the club. With such a new group of players, I look forward to leading by example on the court and using my experience the help guide the younger boys coming through the ranks. We have great people in our club and I am looking forward to getting back on the court in front of our awesome crowd in 2018!”

Coach Walmsley countered that excitement, saying “Troy is a stalwart of this program and someone who has represented the Power with professionalism and class for an extended period of time. Troy will bring a number of intangible qualities to our program, most of which can’t be measured on the stats sheet or in the box score. When you are talking about re-building the culture of a group, it is important to have great examples of how that should look. I am very excited to have the perfect example of that in Troy and look forward to working with him in 2018”
