In exciting news, the Port City Power Men have secured the services of Gladstone junior Mitchell Knight for season 2018.
Knight has had a highly credentialed junior career, having represented the Queensland North state team at Australian Junior Championship events in 2016 and again in 2017. Mitch will use those experiences to his advantage, as he looks to make an impact in the QBL in 2018.
On his signing, Knight offered “I have committed to the Port City Power program with …tremendous excitement and enthusiasm for the season ahead. I look forward to being a part of an environment which is both challenging and rewarding. I am familiar with the coaching staff and know that they will put us in a position to be successful. I am as motivated as ever and look forward to representing my community as a member of the Port City Power in 2018″.
Coach Walmlsey said “Mitch is someone that I have worked with previously and am excited to have the opportunity to work with again. Whilst only seeing limited opportunities at the QBL level to date, I am very confident in his ability to contribute and expect him to add great depth to our roster in 2018. He has demonstrated a sound body of work at the most elite junior level in the country and I know we will see that experience translate in the QBL. We are committed to providing Gladstone juniors with a genuine pathway to the senior level and believe Mitch will be a great representation of that reality”
Season 2018 cant come soon enough.
